Description

Rectory Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century. It features a two-cell lobby-entrance plan and stands one storey high with attics. The structure is timber-framed and pebble-dashed, topped with a concrete-tiled roof that was originally thatched. A narrow red brick axial chimney from the 17th century is present. The house has gabled casement dormers and 20th-century casements with leaded lights. There is a gabled entrance porch that includes an arch-headed 20th-century battened and boarded door. The framing is plain but complete, and it has a clasped purlin roof. Inside, there are back-to-back open fireplaces. Additionally, there is a 19th-century service wing at the rear.
