Description

This is a farmhouse, likely dating from the 16th century. It has a two-cell plan and is timber-framed with plaster rendering. The roof is covered in Roman pantiles and is hipped, with a gablet at the right-hand end. There’s an axial chimney made of red brick. The windows are 20th-century sash windows, and the entrance has a glazed panelled door within an open-gabled porch supported by posts. A large chimney, likely from the late 16th or 17th century, sits between the hall and service cell. It’s possible this chimney was added later, converting an earlier cross-entry plan into a lobby-entrance layout. The interior is said to contain good exposed timber framing.
