Description
14 Lower Brook Street is a building from the 18th century, now covered in roughcast, likely originally a timber-framed and plastered structure. It has two storeys, attics, and cellars. The facade features a five-window range with double-hung sash windows that lack glazing bars, all set in flush cased frames. The central entrance is an eight-panel door, with the upper four panels glazed, framed by an attractive wooden doorcase that includes a plain rectangular fanlight, panelled reveals, Corinthian pilasters, and a segmental pediment. The roof is tiled and includes three flat-headed dormers. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 6 to 18 (even) and No 18A, along with Nos 7, 9, and 15.
