Description

Nos 18 and 18A on Lower Brook Street are early 19th century buildings with a red brick front that has been painted. They likely incorporate elements from an earlier house and feature a parapet and a cornice band. The buildings are two storeys high and have cellars, with a three-window range that includes wide double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The central paired doorway is framed by a 19th-century red brick surround with a keystone and a brick pediment. There is an older wing that extends into Turret Lane, and the roof is tiled and hipped. Nos 6 to 18 (even) and No 18A are part of a group with Nos 7, 9, and 15.
