Description
No. 20 Lower Brook Street is the only remaining house from a terrace of ten early 19th-century houses that originally faced north at right angles to the street. This two-storey building with attics is constructed of white brick. The ground floor features channelled rustication, while the upper storey is adorned with pilasters and topped with a pediment. The north front and the east and south sides have a two-window range with double-hung sash windows that include glazing bars, set in plain reveals. A small window in the pediment lights the attic. Raised brick bands run across the fronts above the first-storey windows and between the storeys. The roof is covered with slate.
