Description
Number 36 on Thoroughfare is a late 19th-century building with a white brick front, featuring an entablature and a parapet above, topped with a stone coping. The building has a pantiled roof and a tall central entrance that includes a fanlight. On either side of the entrance are large three-light windows, all set in stone cases that have panelled bases and a moulded plinth. To the right is a lower wing dating from the late 18th century, constructed of red brick. This wing has a floor band, a half-moon window on the first floor with glazing bars, a six-panel door, and two sash windows on the ground floor, all with flat arches. Number 36 is part of a group that includes The Angel Hotel and Nos 34 and 35.
