Description

Number 8 on Silver Street is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall, constructed from chequered red and white brick. The building features rendered rusticated quoins and a rendered modillion cornice, topped with a stone-capped parapet. It has three windows with flat stone arches and no glazing bars. The basement is also rendered. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is framed by an architrave with fluted pilasters, an open pediment, and a blocked semi-circular fanlight above. Access to the door is via five stone steps, which are protected by an iron guard. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 6 to 9 Silver Street.
