Description

Number 46 on High Street is a building from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with stone dressings and features a machine-tiled roof that has a stone cornice moulding. The building has three pedimented dormers and a steeply pitched gable. It stands three storeys tall, with a stone stringcourse moulding at the first floor. There are two sash windows with glazing bars set in broad frames beneath painted lintels that have panelled keystones. The first and second floors also have central dummy windows. The entrance features a panelled door topped by a rectangular fanlight. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 42 to 52 (even) and No 56.
