Description
Cull's House, located at No. 36 on High Street, is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick with stone dressings. It features a roof parapet with stone coping and stands three storeys tall. The façade includes five sash windows with glazing bars set in broad frames, each topped with keystones and slanting drip moulds. The central stone doorway is adorned with Doric pilasters and a broken pediment, with a window above framed by an architrave surround and console brackets supporting the sill. The building also has rusticated Doric end pilasters with entablatures. There is one modern shop front that lacks a cornice, alongside a 19th-century shop front that includes a cornice. Cull's House is part of a group with Nos 36A and 38.
