Description

Number 44 on High Street is an early 18th-century building constructed of red brick, featuring a machine-tiled roof with a stone cornice molding. The structure has three storeys and includes three sash windows with glazing bars set in reveals beneath flat arches. There are dummy windows in the center of the first and second floors, a canted bay window on the right side of the ground floor, and a modern shop window on the left. The building is accented by brick end pilasters. It is part of a group that includes numbers 42 to 52 (even) and number 56.
