Description
This barn, located 20 meters east of Sotherton Hall, dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century and features later additions. It is partly timber framed and weatherboarded, with sections built from red brick. The roof is covered with corrugated iron sheeting and is hipped at the south end. The original structure consists of three bays and includes a gabled porch on the east side. Inside, the open trusses are supported by arched braces, and the roof features two rows of staggered butt purlins. To the south, there is a later 18th-century brick addition, while to the north, separated by a partition, is a timber framed addition that is likely from the 19th century.
