Description

Valley Farmhouse, now divided into two dwellings, dates to the 17th century with an addition from the 19th or 20th century. The original section is timber-framed and plastered, while the later addition is of rendered brick. The roof is hipped and covered with glazed pantiles. The farmhouse is two storeys high and features a range of four windows to the front facade; some of these are good 18th-century mullion and transom leaded casements. The northern dwelling has a lobby entrance with a boarded door and a rectangular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. To the rear is a 6-panel raised and fielded door, with the upper two panels glazed, and a modern gabled hood. The southern dwelling has a mid-20th century door fitted. A substantial internal stack is present.
