Description

Henhamgreen Farmhouse is a mainly 17th-century farmhouse built in two ranges to form an L-shaped plan. It has later additions, including an 18th-century dairy wing to the north. The house is timber-framed and plastered, with a roof of black pantiles, some of which are glazed. The building is partly single-storey and attic, and partly two storeys. It has various casement windows, mostly dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. The service range includes two gabled dormers and a 19th-century four-panel door with glazed upper panels. A mid-19th-century colourwashed brick staircase addition is present in the main range, featuring a six-panel door, a rectangular fanlight, and a gabled hood. There is a substantial central internal stack in the main range, along with several other stacks. Notable features include elaborate stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops in the main range, and an arched brick fireplace on the first floor. The service range contains two blocked ovolo-moulded mullioned windows.
