Description
Craven's Manor is a 17th-century farmhouse with a mid-20th century addition to the rear. It has a main range with a projecting cross wing to the right. The building is timber framed with mid-20th century textured render to the front and plasterwork to the rear, and has a plaintiled roof to the front and a pantiled roof to the rear. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with five windows to the main range and one window to the cross wing. The windows are small-paned casements dating to the 18th or 19th century. There are two doorways, each with a six-panel bolection-moulded door (the upper two panels glazed), a broad architrave, and a later 19th-century open timber gabled porch with a depressed ogee entrance arch and wooden trelliswork to the sides. Two original internal stacks are present, one located at the junction of the two ranges. Two original mullioned windows are at first-floor level to the rear. The return of the cross wing features a doorway with a six-panel door, frieze, and cornice.
