Pair of estate cottages. Dated 1858 in metal figures within each main gable. Red brick with rusticated quoins and window surounds in yellow brick; slated roof, with courses of fishscale slates at the front. 2 storeys. Symmetrical facade with twin gables set slightly forward: within each gable is a stone shield inscribed 'SA Mdccclviii'. The gables have mullioned casement windows with geometric glazing bars; shallow segmental arches with hood moulds. Narrower. blank panels to the recessed part of the facade. Each return gable end has 2 windows and a central doorway with 4-panel door and gabled hood on shaped brackets. Central internal stack with recessed panels and cornice. A good intact example of the Henham estage cottages.
