Description

This is a row of three cottages located on the north side of High Street. The cottages likely date to the late 18th century, although number 1 may be a later addition, and number 5 was extended to the right in the mid-20th century. The cottages are built of colourwashed brick with a black pantiled roof. They have one and a half storeys and six windows in total. Number 1 has 19th-century casement windows set under flat arches. Numbers 3 and 5 feature mid-20th century casement windows beneath segmental arches. Number 1 possesses a four-panel door, the upper two panels glazed, while numbers 3 and 5 have mid-20th century doors. Five dormer windows are present, each with later 19th-century overhanging bracketed gables featuring shaped bargeboards, spike and drop finials, and slated roofs; the right-hand dormer is a mid-20th century addition. Number 1 has a brick dentil eaves cornice. There is one internal stack and a gable end stack to the left.
