Description

Two cottages, located on the north side of High Street in Wangford. They likely date to the early 18th century, with the right-hand cottage (number 11) possibly added later. The cottages are built of colourwashed brick with pantiled roofs. They are one-and-a-half storeys in height and feature three windows. Number 9 has sash windows with glazing bars in flush frames, set under flat brick arches. Number 11 has later, larger-paned sashes under segmental arches. Each cottage has two doorways, each featuring a six-panel door, a moulded architrave, and a small flat hood. Number 9 has two gabled dormers and number 11 has one half-dormer. A brick dentil eaves cornice runs along the front of number 11. The interiors contain two internal chimney stacks and a gable end stack is located on the right-hand side.
