Description

Lantern Cottage is a house that dates from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with later alterations and additions. It stands gable end onto the road and is constructed of brick, mostly covered with smooth render, and is otherwise colourwashed. The roof is made of glazed black pantiles. The building has two storeys and an attic. It features various windows, mostly from the mid-20th century; on the left-hand side, there are sash windows, one painted dummy window, and two glazed doors. At the rear, there is a Dutch gable with an integral stack. The cottage is included for its group value.
