Description

This is a mid-18th century timber framed barn located immediately to the southwest of Valley Farmhouse. The barn is clad in tarred weatherboarding and has a roof covered with tarred corrugated iron sheeting. It features five bays with a central cart entrance. The oak frame is intact, showcasing straight wall bracing and bisected studs, with tie beams supported by knee braces. The roof is constructed with two rows of staggered butt purlins and a ridge piece. There is a threshing floor in the central bay. This barn is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
