Description
Pastures Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century, with a full-height addition made in the mid-20th century on the right side. The building is timber framed but is now encased in 19th-century colourwashed brick, and it has a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and was originally built in a two-cell form. The façade features three windows, which are three-light large-paned casements set under segmental arches. There is a plank door to the left and a mid-20th-century half-glazed door to the right. Inside, there is an internal stack, and some of the timber frame is visible on the first floor. Both original ground floor rooms have exposed chamfered joists, and there are newel stairs. The roof structure includes clasped purlins with arched wind-bracing.
