Description
Little Grange is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It is timber framed, with mid-20th century plasterwork featuring pargetted panels at ground floor level, and has a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a three-cell form. There are three windows with large-paned, three-light casements, likely from the 18th century, as well as an original three-light mullioned window located at first floor level above the doorway. The entrance features a lobby with a half-glazed door and a mid-20th century doorcase that has a bracketed hood. Inside, there is a heavy internal stack, but the interior has been significantly altered, leaving only the main components of the frame visible. The parlour includes an ovolo-moulded floor beam with barred stop-chamfers, while the hall has exposed unchamfered joists.
