Description
Forge House is a house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is built of red brick with a pantile roof and features brick end stacks. The layout follows a central staircase plan and the house is two storeys high. The front has a three-window range, with 6/6 unhorned sash windows on either side of a central sash window. The ground floor also has similar 6/6 sash windows, which are set beneath gauged brick lintels. A central open gabled porch leads to a six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. The front facade is enhanced by four pilasters that have painted cornices, extending through both storeys. There are 20th-century casements on the left side and at the rear.
