Description

This barn, located 30 meters northeast of Ufford Hall, dates from the late 16th century with a 17th-century addition. It is constructed from timber framing and is weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn consists of nine bays, with the two southern bays being a later addition. The timber frame is largely intact, featuring mostly full-height studs and some sections that include a middle rail. Floors have been added in the two end bays. Inside, there are arch-braced open trusses. The roof over the original section includes clasped butt purlins and cranked queen-struts. Additionally, the porch over the cart entrance has been rebuilt in a lean-to style.
