Description

This barn, located immediately northwest of Aldridge's Farmhouse, dates back to the 16th century. It is constructed from timber framing and is weatherboarded, topped with a pantiled roof. The barn consists of six bays, featuring a cart entrance in the third bay from the west and a gabled porch on the north side. The frame of the barn is largely intact, showcasing its original construction. The easternmost bay has been floored over, and the adjacent bay was also once floored; both bays show evidence of diamond-mullioned windows, with one window still remaining. Most of the arched braces to the tie beams are preserved, and the barn boasts a fine intact queen-post roof.
