Description
Blue House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 16th to 17th century and was built in two or more phases, with alterations made in the 19th century. The building features a main range with a projecting cross-wing on the right. It is constructed from timber framing and plaster, topped with a roof of glazed black pantiles. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic in the cross-wing. There are five windows, including those in the wing, which are large-paned casements from the 19th and 20th centuries. The lobby entrance has a mid-19th century moulded architrave with corner roundels and a cornice, leading to a mid-20th century half-glazed door. A second doorway features a 19th century three-quarter glazed door. The farmhouse has two axial stacks, both of which were rebuilt in the 19th century. Inside, nearly all the timbers are concealed.
