Description

Nos 44 and 46 Bear Street are two adjoining houses from the early 19th century, constructed with timber framing and plaster. The west end of the buildings is weatherboarded. They are two stories high and feature a four-window range with double-hung sash windows that have glazing bars. There are two doorways, each adorned with reeded pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice; one doorway has a four-panel door while the other has a six-panel door. The roofs of the houses are covered in slate.
