Description
These are a pair of houses dating from the late 18th century, prominently situated on the north side of Bexley High Street. They were originally timber-framed but have a brick facade. Each house has a single window visible from the front. The windows are sash windows with their original glazing bars remaining. The houses are two storeys high with an attic space. Number 1 has an original eight-panelled front door, and both houses feature hoods supported by shaped brackets. A decorative band runs around the building between the ground and first floors. A moulded wooden cornice is visible along the eaves. The roof is half-hipped, with two chimney stacks positioned both between the houses and at the rear. The side and rear elevations are clad in weatherboarding.
