Description

The property at 52 and 54 Bear Street is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is a timber-framed and plastered building of two storeys. The front has a symmetrical appearance with a four-window range, featuring double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The front door, originally a two-panel design, has been relocated to the east side. A raised band runs horizontally across the front of the building, separating the ground and first floors. The roof is covered with old tiles.
