Description

Sergeants is a 15th to 16th century timber-framed and plastered house located on Bear Street in Nayland with Wissington. It features a cross wing at the west end and has undergone alterations in the 17th century and later renovations in the 20th century. The building has two storeys, with the ground storey under-built in brick and colourwashed, while the upper storey was likely originally jettied at the front. There are three windows on the front, featuring leaded casements, some of which have old fittings. The ground storey windows are fitted with shutters, and there is one four-panel door. The roof is covered with old tiles.
