Description

Stourbank Cottage is an early to mid-19th century red brick cottage located on Bear Street in Nayland. The building has one storey and attics, featuring a two-window range with casements that have "Gothic" arched upper lights and square label moulds. The central boarded door is adorned with studded fillets and a square label mould. The roof is covered with 20th-century pantiles and includes two gabled dormers that also have "Gothic" arched lights with ornamental leaded lights. At the rear, there is an addition constructed in rat trap bond, which involves bricks laid on edge.
