Description
Circle Cottages comprise two cottages formed from a 17th-century lobby entrance house, converted in the 19th century. One gable end is returned brick and flint with timber framing to the rear, while the main front has been re-faced with brick. The roof is pantiled. Windows are 19th-century casements with skewback arches, and there are two gabled dormers. The original lobby entrance remains at the rear, with a winding stair located on the opposite side of an off-centre axial stack. Later brick stacks have been added to the gable ends. The original timber framing features ogee and nicked beam stops.
