Description
Nuttage Gate comprises two late 17th-century cottages. The construction is timber-framed with angle braces and white painted brick nogging, and it features an old tile roof with two tile-hung gables to the front, each containing a single three-light leaded casement window. There are end stacks to the right, a stack to the right at the rear, and a central ridge stack. The cottages have been altered, adopting a lobby entrance type across three framed bays. They are 1½ storeys high. The ground floor features two leaded casement windows beneath the gables; the left-hand window is 20th century. A 20th-century half-glazed door is situated to the far left, flanked by 20th-century leaded windows, while a boarded door is located to the right of the right-hand window. A doorway has been blocked beneath the central stack.
