Description
The Old Schoolhouse is a 17th-century school building that has been converted into a house. It features 19th-century refacing and additions on the south and east sides. The structure is timber-framed with angle braces and brick nogging, and it has later brick facing at the rear. The roof is tiled with an off-centre ridge stack located to the left above the entrance. The building has three framed bays and stands two storeys tall. On the first floor, there are two 19th-century segmental-headed casements with two lights to the right, along with a three-light casement and a small casement to the left. The ground floor has two 20th-century three-light casements to the right and a boarded door to the left, situated beneath the stack. To the left, there is a block that is also timber-framed with brick facing, featuring a hipped tile roof and a stack at the rear. This block is one storey with an attic, and it includes a two-light segmental-headed casement to the right and a boarded door to the left.
