Description

The Manor is a house dating to circa 1830. It is constructed of grey brick with red dressings, featuring deep eaves to a hipped slate roof and four chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high, with three bays. It has glazing bar sash windows throughout. A central 20th-century brick porch with a hipped slate roof provides access, featuring two narrow glazing bar sashes flanking a six-panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above. Inside, a ground floor room at the rear contains an early 17th-century ashlar fireplace with carved panelled pilasters supporting a rich cornice. Above the mantel is shallow carved decoration, and behind is a moulded flat arch with Delft-type glazed tiles.
