Riverside Cottages

Riverside Cottages are two cottages dating from the 16th century. They are timber framed with brick nogging and feature a curved brace on the right side, along with some later brick refacing and tile hung gable ends. The cottages have an old tile roof with a central gable supported by a queen post truss. There is a cat slide roof at the rear, which includes two projecting gabled wings; the eastern wing is tile hung, while the right wing also has a queen post truss. The structure has two ridge stacks, positioned off centre to the right and left.

The cottages consist of four framed bays, with two additional framed bay wings at the rear. They are two storeys high. On the first floor, there is a three-light 19th-century casement window to the left, a central three-light 19th-century casement under the central gable, and another 19th-century casement to the right. The ground floor features a 20th-century segmental headed casement in the left-hand bay, another 20th-century segmental headed casement beneath the central gable, and a 19th-century casement in the right-hand bay. There is a boarded door on the left with a segmental head and a 20th-century gabled porch, as well as a central boarded door with a segmental head and a 20th-century gabled porch located between the first and second windows from the left.
