Description
Fairchilds is a house dating from around 1600, with an 18th-century addition to the north. It features red brick with grey headers, timber framing with curved braces, and brick nogging. The roof is covered with old tiles. The building has an L-plan layout, with a cross wing to the right that includes a queen-post truss in the gable end and an end stack to the right. It is one and two storeys high, with a 20th-century first floor casement window in the cross wing to the right and two ground floor casements. There is a central 20th-century glazed door to the left, along with a 20th-century gabled porch that has a half-glazed door flanked by 20th-century casements on either side.
