Description

Hopgood's Farm Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with 19th-century refronting. It is timber framed with angle braces, brick nogging, and a white-painted brick facing to the right side. The roof is tiled, with the left part lower than the right, featuring a gabled dormer and a 2-light casement window. A central ridge stack is present. The cottage is of the lobby entrance type and consists of two framed bays. It has 1½ storeys to the left and 2 storeys to the right. A 20th-century casement window is on the first floor to the right, while the ground floor has a segmental headed 2-light casement to the left and two segmental headed 2-light casements to the right. A boarded door is centrally located beneath the stack, positioned between the first and second windows from the left, with a 20th-century porch.
