Description
Thatched Cottage is a 17th-century cottage with partial refacing from the 18th century and a 19th-century addition at the rear. It features a timber frame with angle bracing and white painted brick nogging, with later white painted brick facing on the left side. The cottage has a thatched roof with an end stack on the right, an off-centre ridge stack to the right, and a stack at the rear. There are three eyebrow eaves dormers, with two 2-light leaded casements flanking a central 3-light leaded casement. The building consists of three framed bays, with the right bay set back and rising to 1½ storeys. The central section has a 7-light 20th-century leaded casement with a pentice, a 2-light segmental headed leaded casement to the left, and a 5-light 20th-century leaded casement with a pentice set back to the right. The entrance is located at the right-hand end, featuring a wooden porch supported by barley sugar columns.
