Description

Hall Farm East Cottage and Hall Farm West Cottage form an early 17th-century pair of cottages of a 3-bay, lobby-entrance type, now used as two separate residences. The cottages are two storeys high. The south-facing garden front has six windows. They have tiled roofs, timber framing with close studding, and patched red brick nogging. An original central brick chimney stack is present, featuring three shafts, two of which are placed diagonally. 19th-century dormer gables with carved bargeboards are above the first-floor windows. A projecting, two-storey gabled entrance porch is present; the upper portion was added in the 19th century. The windows have been replaced with modern casement windows.
