Description
Harefield is a house built in 1912 by C M Crickmer. It features roughcast over brick with mock timber framing on the jettied first floor at the center. The roof is covered in plain tiles and is tripped, with brick stacks located at the rear and an external lateral stack to the left of the front. The building has a rectangular plan, stands two storeys high, and has a three-window range. The roof slopes down to the right of a gabled stair turret situated to the right of the center, balanced by a lateral stack with diaperwork on the left. The central door is flanked by wood casements with glazing bars. The stair turret has a semi-circular arched brick tympanum arch over a tall stair light, which features similar glazing casements and half dormers at the rear. Inside, there is a blue-tile fireplace flanked by original cupboards at the center, and a stick-baluster staircase.
