Description

30 and 31 Waterside are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century, with a refronting from around 1800. They are constructed of brick, with some internal timber framing, and feature a tile roof with brick stacks at both the front and rear of the ridge. The cottages are single storey with an attic and have a two-window range. They are topped with a modillioned brick cornice. The entrances are paired and segmental-headed, with plank doors, and are flanked by segmental-headed windows that contain 2-light small-paned casements, arranged in a pattern of 6+9 panes. The first floor includes three gabled dormers, each with brick gables and 2-light small-paned casements.
