Description

These are a pair of cottages on Chapel Road. They have a 19th-century facade, but likely contain a core dating back to the 17th century. Originally timber-framed, the cottages are now faced with red brick, with pebbledash render on the gable ends. The roof is thatched. The cottages are one and a half storeys high and have a symmetrical facade. Each cottage has two 2-light windows from the 19th century, with segmental arches above them. There is a boarded and battened door between the two cottages. Two eyebrow dormers are present. A central internal stack is a notable feature.
