Description
Church Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century, with an early 19th-century rear wing. They are constructed of red brick in an irregular bond and feature a plain tiled roof. The buildings stand two storeys high with a garret, set on a plinth that has a plat band. The cottages have triple-segmental shaped gables and chimney stacks located at the centre right and end right. On the first floor, there are two three-light wooden casement windows, and on the ground floor, there are two more with basket-arched heads. The entrances consist of two boarded doors, one at the centre and one to the left, both with basket-arched heads, and there is a blocked opening to the right of the left door. The left gable displays alphabetical wall ties marked with "H C."
