Description

The Old Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of red brick in an irregular English bond pattern. The roof is tiled, and the building has a plinth, plat band, and shaped gables. There is a flat-roofed dormer window and chimneys located at the left end, centre, and right end of the building. The front elevation has two three-light wooden casement windows on each floor, with a small central light on the first floor. A central panelled door has a moulded surround and a flat hood. A two-light mullioned window with rounded heads is found on the rear elevation.
