Description
Park Cottages is a pair of cottages that date from the early 17th century, with additions made in the later 17th century, and some alterations and additions at the rear. The cottages are timber-framed with brick nogging and are partially limewashed. They feature a stone plinth and a steeply pitched slate roof, which may have originally been thatched, with a tile ridge. There are brick stacks at the gable end and rear, which have dentillated collars and banding, and the right gable stack is projecting. The cottages are 1½ storeys high and include a later central dormer, following a 3-cell plan. The front has three timber casements and one door in moulded cases, along with one plain door. Inside the left cottage, there is a pierced flat baluster oak staircase, and the interior also has beams and partially exposed roof trusses.
