Description
Well House Antiques is a former inn, now functioning as a house and shop, dating from 1723 onwards, with various alterations and additions. The building is constructed of red-brown brick with pale headers and features slate roofs. It has a renewed end stack and ridge stacks, along with a rendered plinth. The structure is two stories tall and has two windows, presenting a rectangular shape. At the rear, there is a stable block, and the building has projecting side wings. Notable architectural details include stone cills and steps, and curved brick heads above the windows. The windows feature flush and recessed sashes with glazing bars, with the former set in moulded cases. The north doorway is framed by a moulded case with a pedimented canopy supported by moulded brackets, while the west doorway has a plain doorcase with a small flat canopy on brackets. The building is adorned with ogee-shaped iron gutters that have lions' head masks. The interior does not have any special features.
