Description
This is a late 17th-century cottage with later alterations and additions to the rear. The construction is timber-framed with painted brick infill, partly on a brick plinth, and has a slate roof with a tile ridge. There are brick gable and ridge stacks, and the cottage originally had a 3-cell plan. A projecting front-facing gable was added to the left side. The cottage was originally one storey but was raised to one-and-a-half storeys with the addition of a brick upper floor, which includes some simulated painted timbers. The right bay has a slight projection of the upper floor supported by simple, stepped corbels. The windows are 2- and 3-light timber casements, with 2 dormer casements added to the original bays. Inside, there are no particular features.
