Description

Brassey's Contract Cottage is a mid 17th century cottage that has undergone alterations and additions. It features a timber frame with some painted brick nogging and has a roof made of corrugated iron sheeting over thatch. The building stands on a stone plinth in part and is 1½ storeys high with a 2-cell plan. There is a projecting brick stack on the right-hand gable, while the left gable has an internal brick stack. The cottage has timber casements, gable end attic windows, and a boarded door.
