Description
Church Lodge is a cottage ornée that was formerly the lodge to Melton Hall, dated 1818, with the initials E.L. (Evans Lombe) on the datestone. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a slate roof. It is a single-storey structure with Gothick 2-light windows. The lodge is surrounded by a verandah supported on wooden posts, which includes a central three-bay projection. It has cast iron arched spandrel brackets and two gault brick chimneys. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
