Description

Lodge Farmhouse Barn is a former threshing barn dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of brick, partially colour-washed, and features a pantiled roof. The barn has a central gabled midstrey, which is flanked by lean-tos that have catslide roofs. There is a 3-centred archway located opposite the midstrey. The north side of the barn includes plain pilasters and ventilation openings with segmental arches. The gables exhibit tumbling-in. Inside, the barn has a 10 bay roof supported by collars, wedge tenoned butt-purlins, and arch braced ties at every other truss. The barn is included for its group value.
